ST72F344x Query

The datasheet for this device gives details for 4 option bytes, yet the Visual Programmer only has settings for three.

Could ST clarify this situation, also does this device have a backup oscillator as per the datasheet ?

Hi,

As you can read in the datasheet all bits of option byte #2 are reserved, so there is no need to access it ! It is why STVP7 only provide a way to read/write only 3 option bytes.

You should have get a preliminary datasheet and there was a mistake as there is no backup oscillator in the ST72F344.

CSS will be removed in the next release, it was a mistake !
