    Hello,

During ST72F521 programming with St7-STICK, when the option byte is changed from External Osc to Resonator OSC, after that the device can not be re-programmed and the following error messages are got :

Error : Cannot communicate with the device ! Option Bytes are Disabled on the device

Check the ICC cable connection and check all the needed pin connections on the ICP connector

Clock is 'External source' in this ICP mode

    Or

Error : Cannot communicate with the device ! Option Bytes are Enabled on the device

Check the ICC cable connection and check all the needed pin connections on the ICP connector

Try the other programming mode:'ICP OPT Disable' in order to check the Options

Bytes on the device (Clock Source,PLL,LVD) compare to the application configuration

On Application, connect OSC pin from ICP connector or an Oscillator or a logic clock

    Regards,

    Tayfun

Follow the procedure defined in the second error message i.e.

''Try the other programming mode:'ICP OPT Disable' in order to check the Options Bytes on the device (Clock Source,PLL,LVD) compare to the application configuration. On Application, connect OSC pin from ICP connector or an Oscillator or a logic clock''.

After following the above, now change your clock source to resonator oscillator.
