    Hello.

    We have been using a different device from domosys for powerline communications. We want to move away from it, and using the ST7538 develop something more robust for our application. I was wondering if chip samples are available and the PDF document has a general schematic is there a more detailed one available with parts list? Is two-way comms possible using 2 carriers? Listen on one carrier send on another? Or only 1/2 duplex? I need to get something developed soon... noise immuniaty is a must.

    Hello Jeff,

    The ST7538 datasheet contains only general schematic, see AN1714 where a complete design is described. The application note is accessible through site www.st.com (http://www.st.com/stonline/products/literature/an/9546.htm).

    The PLM uses narrow band FSK modulation, only half duplex is supported. The device is protokol independent.

    The ST7538 samples and AN1714 evaluation board are available through our local representatives or distributors.
