    I know there is a free version of a programmer for ST7 family offered in this forum.

    How can I get it

    Depends which one you mean.

    There are a few choices for a free flite programmer.

    1. Build the ST7-STICK using the gerbers/schematic available on this website.

    2. Build Flashbash - www.spen-soft.co.uk

    3. Build the programmer/debugger mentioned in the apps note section of Softec's website.

    4. Build the programmer mentioned in the ICC Protocol Ref Manual - available on this website.

    If you don't want to build one yourself, then you can buy the ST7-STICK from ST. Also have a look at the Softec solution - inDart.
