At this time I'm using ST90T40 in my application, but this component is now obsolete. ST90T36 is very similar because I have found that EEPROM is present in ST90T36 too, but perhaps it's not tested by ST.

Since my application requires EEPROM to work can I use ST90T36 insted of ST90T40 without having any problem?

    Thanks a lot.

Your are using it at your risk. There is additional testing done on ST90T40 compared to ST90T36 to guarranty the E2.
