stgap2dmtr spice model and capacitances

I'm proposing a design using the STGAP2DMTR, and I have the following questions:

I) Where can I find a SPICE model of the IC to perform simulations?

II) In the datasheet, it is recommended to use 1 µF and 100 nF capacitors for the input and outputs. I didn’t have those available, so I used a 220 µF electrolytic capacitor and a 47 nF polyester MKT capacitor (the small square type) instead. Unfortunately, my switches didn’t commutate :(. However, I’m not sure if the issue was caused by the incorrect capacitor values or by the PCB layout. I’m attaching the schematic and board layout images.

III) I plan to replace the capacitors with the recommended ones anyway. In the datasheet, it is advised to use a 100 nF ceramic capacitor, but there’s no mention of what type the 1 µF capacitor should be. Can it be electrolytic, or is another type preferred?

I really appreciate your help.

Changed the IC logic voltages to 3.3 V and worked perfectly
