STML432 unable to use both SPI modules in Mbed OS?

Hi there, I'm trying to interface with two different slave devices using the two SPI modules on the STML432kc with Mbed OS. Individually they work fine but as soon as i have both defined in the same program i run into hard faults.

I'm aware of the pin conflict between PA_5, PA_6 , PB_6 and PB_7, however I'm not using PB_6 or 7 and even with SB16 and 18 disconnected im still seeing the same faults.​
