    In our design we need more data memory than the 64kB embedded in the STR71x. In the Hardware Design Getting Started - Application Note, the reference design uses 2x8bit SRAMS (one for the low byte and one for the high byte) with separate write enable signals.

    can anyone tell me the implications of putting a 16bit SRAM on the EMI instead?
