I got this device tested and found some markings at the back. Is this normal?

To me it's a little shady. From where you did get that chip? a known distributor? if yes contact him directly.

Markings look generally consistent with ST product

Those on the obverse look to be dust/soot from the laser, and in the mirror image of the top side, like the parts were stacked on top of each other briefly after the marks where burned on.

Are the markings consistent with those on the packaging and trace codes?
