We are having problems installing STVD7 on a machine running Windows XP pro. When the installation gets to the stage that it wants to istall the parallel port driver, the system crashes and reboots.

The driver does not appear to get installed and re-running the installer does not fix the problem. We cannot connect to the STICK because the parallel port driver is not installed. This was with the latest version of STVD7 downloaded today.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or how to get the driver installed another way?

Only a guess but do you have admin privileges ?

This is required in NT/XP to install any drivers

Yes we are definitely installing it with admin privilidges

Which version of XP is it ?

I suspect SP2 as it is known to bring pbs and also because I have XP SP1 and no pb of install.

Did you install Codewarrior as it may install a old version of the paralel port driver that crashes XP at uninstall.
