UART connection problem

    Hi,

    I'm new to microcontrollers. I have an DK3200 rev. 0.1 and I'm trying to make it communicate to PC (send some characters first) through UART0 using a null-modem serial cable. But when the cable is connected to both PC and DK board, characters on LCD display get all black (both rows) and nothing is transmitted.

    Please help !

    I had a better look on the board schematics and the cable shouldn't be null-modem
