    ben, the WD is enabled at bootup, all you need to do is keep feeding WDRST, to disable the WD then you need to concern yourself with WDKEY.

    I thought all need to do to enable the watchdog timer is WDKEY = 0. if I don't reset WDRST periodically then will result in a reset of system. But an experiment has showed this way doesn't work. Can anybody tell me why?

    I've figured out the watchdog problem using the trick posted early in this forum. It never works if follow the way stated by ST datasheet.

    Could you tell us what that ''trick'' is? Is the watchdog reset by accessing PCON?
