    What's PIO Mode? In VM Register, Bit 7 PIO_EN.

    Hi,

    This enables port A as peripheral IO.

    Port A then looks like the internal data bus at the selected addresses.

    Pages 11 and 12 of AN1560 detail this quite clearly
