When trying to get the STEVAL-IME013V1 working with the Utrasound Pulser Waveform Demo version 1.0.0.15406 I get error UPWD Connection failed! "Unable to retrive the device type.".

The board appears in the list of devices as COM3 "STMicroelectronics Virtual COM Port". It is also present in the Configuration config of the UPWD application. What is the problem?

UPWD works on Windows XP and Windows 7 but not on Windows 10.

I also recently got the STEVAL-IME013V1 and faced the same issue.

I managed to get it working on Win10 by doing:

"Communication" > " Configuration" (F4) > Uncheck "Auto Discovery Board" > Connect manually (F5)
