Winbond Support on Elite/ConsumerII

    Hi,

    Is it any BIOS Support on Winbond Super I/O on Elite/ConsumerII? I knew that most of the companies have changed to this super i/o instead of the SMSC one. Is it any testing BIOS for evaluation on Winbond? Thanks.

    Unfortunatly, BIOSs are system specific. Which means that if oyu change the SuperIO, then you will need a new BIOS. This can be obtained from any of the BIOS vendors.

    Our evaluation BIOS is designed for the evaluation board and therefore supports the SMSC SuperIO.

    One thing you could do is to contact General Software, they may be able to help you.
