Indeed, the latest ST9+ toolchain (V6.1.7) already supports Windows XP.

The release note has simply forgot to mention this improvement.

    Take care,

Based on the release note of the latest ST9+ Toolchain (version 6.1.7), the supported operating systems are Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 (with Service Pack 3 or later) and Windows 2000.

Is there any plan to release a STVD9 version supporting Windows XP ? Any schedule ?

I have run STVD7 V6.1.7 lately on XP and stability looks good here.

That's correct : it targets LPT1 and it is in ''never use an interrupt'' mode.

Have you tried to reinstall the toolchain ?

    Ian,

Regarding your ''aside'' comment, I just find the latest ST9+ toolchain user manual you were looking for. Find it enclosed.

    Take care,
