Hello everyone,I’m an intern software engineer currently developing a Qt-based desktop application for configuring and monitoring IoT devices running Zephyr OS.At the moment, I’m researching which protocol would be best suited for this purpose. I initially explored SNMP v3 (Simple Network Management Protocol), but it seems that Zephyr OS does not fully support it. Then, I discovered the CoAP (Constrained Application Protocol), which is supported by Zephyr OS and provides both client and server implementations. After that, I looked into the LwM2M protocol, and now I’m exploring mcumgr.I’m evaluating these protocols based on the following criteria:SecurityBandwidth usageSimplicityRegarding the architecture, I’d like to know if it’s possible for the application to act as a client that pulls data from IoT devices while also allowing data to be pushed using the observe option (in CoAP and LwM2M). Hi Is it possible to convert I2C signals to USB signals using "STOTG04E"?

Dear Team,We are using M24C04-D in our design and getting CRC error at 400KHz.We observed that almost every time only 1bit change i.e SDA not able to rise to 1. Please see below image.  There is no such issue at 100KHz. Could you please tell what could be the potential root cause of such issue & how it can be resolved. regardsVinod Sharma

My team and I have been working on the design of a radio module using the STM32WLx5 MCU. To simplify the RF front end, we decided to go with the BALFHB-WL-02D3.In the BALFHB-WL-02D3 Datasheet, the below mentioned board stack-up is recommended for the best RF performance. This stack-up comes up to a 1.085mm board thickness (which is non-standard)We had a few questions on the stack-up:Our local manufacturer had some issues while manufacturing the desired board thickness. What would be the effect on the RF performance if we were to use a standard 1mm / 1.2mm board thickness (details below)?We are also looking forward to using the Rogers PCB Substrate (RO4003C, RO4350B etc). As the dielectric constants of FR4 and RO has a drastic difference, the RO board stack-up should be significantly different. I've been recently trying to implement code to display the time in hours and minutes via the UART terminal. Hi,I am currently trying to install Atollic TrueStudio v9.3.0 onto Debian Bookworm (fully updated). I can unpack the archive without error or warning. When I run the installer the bash script/system generates the following errors. install.sh: 14: Bad substitution install.sh: 21: Syntax error: "(" unexpected  I do not understand the first error. WRT the second error, I have had a look at the code on line 21 and it seems to me that all the matching parentheses are present.Could someone from ST please have a look at this and advise on necessary corrections ?Yes, I understand that TrueStudio may be in the process of being phased out. The reason I want to use this IDE is that I have found a series of videos on YouTube that will help me "break the ice" in getting a use out of a STM32F407VGT6 based Discovery board and the video presenter chose TrueStudio as the IDE to be used in these tutorials.Stuart

Hello All,I try to set threshold of INT1 in LIS331HHAccording to the datasheet the sensitivity of the sensor can be set to(3 , 6 , 12)mg/digitAnd the threshold register is 7-bit register Can anyone confirm these calculations or there's another factor must be added to set the threshold :Threshold(mg) = (Sensitivity) * (7-bit value)For ex :To set threshold to 1g . and set the sensitivity to 12mg/digit :1000 mg = (12) * register valueregister value = 1000/12 = 83

Hello,I am currently designing a battery-powered device that incorporates the STUSB4500. I have a question regarding the I²C pins: specifically, whether it is safe for these pins to be pulled up (via the system microcontroller’s pull-ups) when no voltage is present on VBUS or VDD.In my design, the primary microcontroller can be powered on even when the USB power is absent, which means the I²C lines would be driven high before VBUS or VDD is applied to the STUSB4500. I have reviewed the datasheet, but it does not clearly state whether the operating or maximum ratings for the I²C pins depend on VDD. My assumption is that it should be acceptable, but I wanted to confirm to avoid any potential issues.Any guidance or confirmation you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Help please!I'm unable to find any info on this diode from an old Siemens Siplus 24RCL PLC controller.  Pictures attached.The diode shorted closed.  I'm assuming because, someone hooked up the supply backwards!The only marks I've found are "ST MFU C104" on the top and "MRC" on the bottom.Dimensions closely resemble the ST SM30T28AY found on the data sheet at this site: https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/datasheet/90/0c/ab/be/9d/d1/49/bd/DM00035136.pdf/files/DM00035136.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00035136.pdf  I would greatly appreciate any help/ info on this.  So, I can find replacements.Thank you,Kendog

Hello, this is the ECMF4-40A100N10(MIPI DSI ESD protection). I want to implement it in my design and I was wondering if it matters to connect your positive differential pair signals to D1+ and D2+ and negative to D-. Or can  acually flip them? So I connect my negative differential pair signals to D+ and positive to D-. That way I can route it much easier. Thanks
