hi, I have already seen many things on the SWO Trace for STM32H745XI but I can't find something detailed to configure on IAR environment and make it work. Can someone tell me the registers to be set and various tricks to use this type of debugging?(printf or ITM)

Sometime ago, i tested with sucess a stm32f417 running on 168MHz, reading one full portx, using for address a array in memory and put result on another porty.So, i bring a more powerfull mcu stm32H750 with 1Mb ram, and tested the same code.when i run the logic analizer, the H750 is very slow to show data writed to portx. around 160~240ns. Hi all,I asked a question about settings 3 days ago, but there was no response from the community. However, I fixed the problem myself. I am sharing the solution as it may be useful for those who want to migrate the project from Keil to Atollic in the future.I imported the projects from Keil MDK to Atollic TrueStudio for both TM4C123GH6PM and STM32F407VG in order to use GDB and OpenOCD features. Wihile the Atollic version for TM4C123GH6PM that I use is Atollic TrueSTUDIO for ARM 7.0.1, the version for STM32F407VG is Atollic TrueSTUDIO for STM32 9.0.0.The problem was that I was facing a hard fault. The reason I faced the hard fault was related to the startup file. I edited the files for both TM4C123GH6PM and STM32F407VG. Now, my two Atollic projects work very well. I'm setting up a STM32H7A3Zi using Cube in Keil uVision. As you can see in the attached image, HAL:DEBUG is missing. Where can I get this component? If I press resolve or Select Packs this component doesn't appear. Any help?Thank you

There is little RAM.The specificity of the bootloader is such that when working with Flash (erase/write operations take ~50ms) there should be no missing events. So I decided to put the bootloader code in RAM.Since there is little RAM, I decided to execute some of the code from Flash (the initialization code of some peripherals), and some from RAM.The plan is this:1) The SysInit() function is called on the reset vector. This function initializes system timing (enables PLL), GPIO for hardware bootloader entry condition, and CRC calculation module. In this case, I need the CRC module to verify the application written in Flash before launching it.2) I execute the logic of entering or traversing the bootloader: if one of a certain set of conditions is true, I execute __main() to initialize the runtime-library C. Hi everyone, I'm having problems using several SPI blocks for different data length transmission via SPI with a STM32F303 MCU. I've realized that when I try to send multiple messages with different data length (using different SPI blocks) the data buffer TX of the SPI remains constant in function of the Buffer_Size_Send parameter of the block .If I try to send another data with other SPI block and I change Buffer_Size_Send according to data length, only the first Buffer_Size_Send is taken in consideration during the transmission so I only send three bytes. Hello all,I installed the "Embedded Coder Support Package for STMicroelectronics Discovery Boards" from the MATLAB (2018a) add ons. And followed their steps given in the user guide. But for the installation of "ArmClang Compiler", they have given one MATLAB command. So, I used that command in MATLAB command (matlabshared.toolchain.armclang.register) window it is showing an error - Undefined variable "matlabshared" or class "matlabshared.toolchain.armclang.register".Please guide me.Thank you.

Why ST put the STM32-MAT/TARGET as NRND, and what does that mean? Will there be no more software updates or do you have replacement software?

I've written an External Flash Loader and successfully tested erase, read, and write functionality first in my own firmware, then with ST-Link Utility v4.5.0, and also with STMCubeProgrammer v2.6.0.However, when I try to use it to debug with TrueStudio, or simply with ST-LINK_gdbserver, I can not get past the loader's Init() so I'm unable to successfully connect to my system.I initially had the problem when trying to debug with TrueStudio and selecting the external loader gave me the dreaded "Failed to initialize external memory!" error so I got TrueStudio out of the way and tried to work directly with ST-LINK_gdbserver instead.I'm using -el to tell GDB server where the .stldr file is.If Init() function does nothing but return 1, ST-LINK_gdbserver will start.If Init() function initializes clocks and peripherals (GPIO, OCTOSPI) and then returns 1, ST-LINK_gdbserver will start.If Init() tries to use GPIOs to indicate progress with LEDs or tries to use the OCTOSPI to configure the flash m

Hi I was using Keil 5 to debug my code on #1 board, somehow the code was kind of stuck, it has no response to reset, and cannot run anywhere, the same code works with no issue on the other self-build board(these two are basically the same), this #1 board works also with no issue earlier today, this situation just suddenly happened. It has no problem with compile, download, enter debug mode.... I`ve drained my brain and cannot figure out what is wrong,,, any suggestions??Thanks in advance.

Short story: the board was working fine, but now I cannot communicate with it from the IAR IDE (cannot debug/download)Long story:I am using the IAR Embedded Workbench IDE - ARM 8.50.6 to program/debug my NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q board. I had successfully uploaded an example project ("ADC_AnalogWatchdog - STMH743ZI-Nucleo" - I know that the name indicates it is for a different board, but the project description says that it should still work for the STMH745ZI). I was able to interact with the user button on the board and the GPIO and user LEDs behaved as expected - indicating that the upload was successful.However, after I picked up the board to inspect it, the user button no longer triggered the expected behaviour and the COM LED turned solid red. I uploaded the example project again, and received this error: I assumed it was a poor connection, so I unplugged/replugged the Microusb cable, tried other cables. - same error. Hello,I have an STM32 Nucleo-64 board with STM32F446RE MCU.I want to talk to it's native bootloader stored in system memory and play around with it a bit(do some in application programming, etc) via the demonstrator program.Since the bootloader communicates via USART1/SPI1/etc I need an usb to usart/spi converter to serve as interface between my PC and the board. I don't have a converter around atm, I do however have an arduino uno.Would it be possible to use it simply as an USB to usart converter so I can use the demonstrator to talk to the native bootloader on the STM board's MCU? Has someone ever used an arduino in this fashion?Thank you!

Good DayI am having some issues with the software EEPROM Emulation Library for the STM32L433. Every couple of minutes I save a few system parameters to the virtual EEPROM. Many times this operations fails, and EE_ERROR_NOACTIVE_PAGE is returned. I do check for "Cleanup Required" which should switches pages as I undestand. How do I force the library to do a cleanup or find an appropriate page? Currently Im working on realising PiL tests of some algorithms for my company.The first one is working fine, the second one is a problem now. Unfortunately for every second of real time simulation, the simulation takes about 4 to 5 minutes.I also figured out, that probably the biggest reason for this extreme stretch is the amount of input data that comes from simulink and is transmitted via UART.Which other factors do you think have an influence on the simulation time of the pil simulation?Are there any settings I can make to get an easy improvement?Thanks a lot for your help!

HiMaybe similar topic has already been there, but I can't find it...I am using CubeMX and HAL on the 446RE.I can write and read data to / from FLASH (In this case directly, I do not use EEPROM emulation).Question: Where and how to set, e.g. Sector3 that it was only for my data. So that it is not overwritten during programming etc. I understand it like this: The program code is e.g. in sectors 0,1,2,4 and 5. The compiler prepares the batch in such a way that it skips sector 3. Can it be set in the program code or somewhere in the CubeMX settings?
