I'm not sure how many H7xx applications deploy without EEPROMs. Everything I've touched in the last 5 years in the F3xx and H7xx line needed an EEPROM for the usual customer side configuration persistence requirement. My customers prefer to take the BOM hit for an external EEPROM like the 24C256 or even the weird PCA9500 multiuse I2C device (4 byte pages!) rather than setting things up to possibly exhaust flash words should firmware lose its mind and exhaust the flash area in seconds when used as an EEPROM substitute.I'm sort of afraid to ask for new things that may tend to break old things but it'd be cool if ST would add a small true EEPROM to the device, maybe not the value line but for the more premium parts with more oomph. 256 bytes should be enough and it's a product ST already makes so....

I want to use NVIC_SetPriority() and NVIC_Enable_IQRn in main.c, and I have the necessary included headers, but when I try to build the program I get "undefined reference to NVIC_SetPriority".I assume it is because the functions are headed as __STATIC_INLINE. Am I just supposed to remove the __STATIC_INLINE or is there a different way for me to access these functions?

I want to use malloc to dynamically open a data buffer for my program.my code is followed:uint8_t *pModbus_Memory;pModbus_Memory=malloc(2048*sizeof(uint8_t));memset(pModbus_Memory,6,2048);I can't set value for my opened memory. and also memcpy doesn't work either.Does anybody know why?Thank you for any advice.

I have a project for STM32F3 using FreeRTOS.During debug, when I pause execution or a breakpoint is hit, stack trace info is only displayed for the currently executing thread, not all of my threads.However, if I look at the FreeRTOS task List, information about all of my tasks is there.(see attached example)Other users at work do not have this issue.Any ideas on how to make debug display all the threads again? After that i was trying to update the Makefile but make file is getting overridden.makefile was from Release and Debug folder from workspace. Makefile under Release and Debug shows header like following. The gdbserver TrueStudio installed is dated Nov 21, 2018. Meanwhile it's unstable, half the time requiring an IDE restart as it loses its mind, and stable gdbservers elsewhere are vintage Oct 30 2019.When will ST-Link_gdbserver receive an update? Has it been abandoned?

Hello!I have an STM32F103C8T6 (BluePill) as master device. It need to collect some data from and Arduino Nano over UART, so the communication is monodirectional Nano -> STM32 -> PCAt a Nano, i can define any two digital ports to be softserial (D2, D3) . On the STM32 side, i use now the Serial2 (A2, A3) with an CP2104 USB TTL on 5V to communicate between STM32 and a PC, but can i use in same time also the Serial1 (B6, B7) to communicate between STM32 and the Arduino Nano? Is enough that i crosswire the B6 and B7 at STM32 side with D3 and D2 Arduino nano Side (Tx->Rx, Rx->Tx) or i need to connect also GND and 5V? I think the Nano will works with this digital pins at 5V, is this a problem on STM32 side?

I have been using TrueSTUDIO for about 2 months and so far when I hover over a variable in stopped code the value is reported as expected. But today I had a bout with TrueSTUDIO where many of the checked variables contained unbelievable values. However, the code written to make decisions based on these variables continued to work as expected. As if only TrueSTUDIO was "out of the loop" with respect to the actual variable values.What is going on?I switched to using STMStudio. While I can not debug using STMStudio I can see the affected variable. While in TrueSTUDIO these variables contained Unbelievable data. But in STMStudio these variables contained the expected values.Why? The variables which continued to contain values as expected in TrueSTUDIO were part of my own code directly called from main(). Most if not all the variables which contained unbelievable data were part of the USB communication code. I am not sure, but data in those variables might be traceable back to interrupt dri

I am trying to compile directly Xcube-aws code but it's not compiling in TrueSTUDIO. In Keil it do compiled but not debug, I have to load .sfb file through uart to run code. How can I debug and merge my sensor code in Xcube-aws code and debug it. @Community member​ @Amel NASRI​ 

I am using a STM32 Nucleo F334R8 development board and upon plugging the board in to my PC, windows file explorer shows a FAIL.txt file with the following text: "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU". This file first appeared after i successfully uploaded a .bin file from MBED website example program. When trying another example program the FAIL file showed up and now when I try upload another .bin file, I am told I have insufficient storage. It shows I only have 8 Kb of memory free. This is the first time I have used MBED, so I tried using TrueStudio to upload an old project and the debugging failed. If anyone knows how I can solve this issue that would be appreciated. I have updated the drivers on my PC and upgraded to the latest STM link.

But when the project is updated to TreuStudio V9.3.0, I got the compiler Errors (“first defined here�?) at freeRTOS code port.c (FreeRTOS\portable\GCC|ARM_CM3\port.c). There is no any change with my project but TrueStudio V9.3.0. If anyone know how to solve the issue.Thank for your help,AW

Hello,I am using DWM1000 on a board with a microcontroller STM32L431CC. I am facing a strange issue when the battery becomes weak and can’t provide the power needed for DWM1000 initialization.When the battery is too weak, the board resets because of DWM1000 initialization. After a random number of attemps, the microcontroller does not start anymore. At this point, i am not able to do anything with my board, it is like the code have been erased or the microcontroller is locked in a strange state. Even after disconnecting the battery or connecting a new one, it doesn’t start again. The only way to make it work again is to reflash the board.I can avoid this problem by putting a 500ms delay before DWM1000 initialization when my boards resets, but i would like to know if this is a known issue ?
