Question

Standalone knob display module available to private individuals?

Hello everyone,

In one of your recent newsletters, you advertised a standalone rotary knob display module with an STM32C09 microcontroller.

https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/campaigns/stm32-gui-cost-effective-microcontrollers-z11.html?ecmp=tt46702_gl_enews_oct2025

Unfortunately, while searching for sources, I discovered that there doesn't seem to be a supplier for private individuals like myself. TSD only communicates with registered businesses.

Does anyone have any idea where I, as a private individual, can purchase such a rotary knob display module?

I would be very grateful for your help.

I'm looking for the TSS13002 model (1.3 inches).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards

Christian

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked.A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be patched up to make it work.

Okay, yes, I know that one. There are many models of those things, unfortunately all based on an ESP32. But I'd like a Knob with an ST inside.

One sugestion, use glue and put one STM 091 inside over ESP32 when you like it.

But realy 240x240 LCD for 16bit FB require 115kB RAM ,, 091 have 36kB, and two fullscreen images fill internal flash. Then ofcourse you have external 64M, but real refresh speed for full animation is hmm 10FPS maybe.
Ahh yes TGFX latest support partial display modes, hope better as vector support added over three years.

Are you sure looking for TSS ?

Hi,

yes, this is one of the Items with an STM32 inside. The TSS013004A is the one with the STM32C091. The have also an item with a STM32G...

But anyway, texim-europe only deliver to companies.

Thanks

Christian

@CSeid.1 perhaps if you share your location there might be someone nearby who could order one for you ... ?

Hi Andrew Neil,

The M5 Knob you recommended is tightly connected to the ESP32. Its primary focus is RFID or WiFi.

Thanks for the idea.

I live in Germany, in the state of Lower Saxony. I'm trying to find a knob like that. In the worst case, I'll really have to go for it and make something myself with a round display and a rotary encoder.
Let's see.

Best regards
