HelloCurrently, all information on WBC86TX and WLC38RX has disappeared from the ST homepage.Does this mean that the two chips are discontinued?I would like to know whether they should not be applied to new designs,and how long they are planned to be produced.

Hello,I designed a circuit, but there is a problem with it. My supercapacitor (C5) is charging very slowly. I am using Dracula's standard OPV. It receives an average of 500 lux. It is charging so slowly that it is almost not charging at all. What could be the problem?Thank you.

I have an application where I am using L99VR02J. for this application I do not need the watchdog so I have tied Vcw to Vo as specified in the datasheet on page 22."Since the RST output pin is shared by the watchdog circuit and the output voltage monitoring circuit, forapplications where the watchdog is not needed, to prevent the watchdog from generating RST pulses withoutanyhow losing the reset functionality of the VO monitoring, the Vcw pin has to be connected to VO. Vcw pin must be always tied to ground by an external capacitor (Ctw) when watchdog function is used." However the datasheet does not specify how to handle the input Wi when the watchdog is disabled. My current schematic has this pin tied to Vs. What is ST's recommendation for Wi when watchdog is disabled?

I have the EVALSTPM-3PHISO. IT appears that it only measures Volts and amps on a single phase at a time, then switches to a different phase for 3 consecutive phases. We are working with Delta power (no neutral). Do the Sample and hold on the ADCs get 6 simultaneously synced samples all at once, or 3 consecutive 2 synced samples per phase (volta/Amps)? To be accurate for Delta, do I need 2 F4 and an H& that has a M7 & M4 to get 6 samples with a master clock that synchronizes the ADCs? Is this a realistic possibility?For 3 Phase Delta, would it not require 6 ADC's that Sample at a syncronized time and DSDFM modules sharing a master clock?

Hello,        I am creating a board using the STUSB4500QTR and I saw something on a video that confused me.  I want to use the IC to take in 100W (20V/5A) and output three different voltage rails: 3, 3.3 and 3.7.  Each will have a fairly large current draw, >500mA easily.  Can I do this, or will I have to output 3 high voltages and then step down each to my needed voltages? Thank you

I bought the STEVAL-WLC99RX evaluation board for the STWLC99 Qi 1.3 compatible receiver and cannot find a location to download the GUI to program/monitor the receiver. The page that I am pointed to (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-wpstudio.html) does not exist. Thanks.

We are using 2 MASTERGAN1TR to drive current across an inductor.We are seeing damage on the body of the chip nearest the low side ground connection with a PWM Frequency of 250KHz and a 12% duty cycle.Before the chip fully fails the current decreases on the VS rail and the VCC/PVCC, which was previously stable at 91mA, climbs to 350 mA and the chip blows.Operating Conditions:VS - 100V w/ 1.5Vppk ripple on switch and .2V Decay during active periodPVCC to PGND -  5V w/ .1Vppk ripple on switch and 50mV decay during active periodOUTb to BOOT - 5.1V w/ .3V sag on switchThese measurements all fall within operating conditions laid out in the datasheet.Since the each Half Bridge is only switching the high side or only switching the low side, shoot through is impossible. Schematic was based on datasheet and is attached below. 

Hello STM Community, I'm currently working with the VNQ9080AJTR Quad Channel High-Side Driver, and I'm encountering a couple of issues that I hope someone here can help me resolve 1.Output Voltage Regulation: With a constant VCC supply of 12V, the output of the IC is randomly regulated to 7-8V instead of maintaining a stable 12V output. This issue seems to occur intermittently, and I can't pinpoint a specific trigger for when it happens. Has anyone experienced similar behavior? What could be causing the output voltage to drop unexpectedly? 2.Input Pin Voltage: I have connected the input pin (which is supposed to take signals from the microcontroller) to control the driver, but at times, I'm reading 7-8V at this input pin instead of the expected logic-level voltage. For both issues, I’ve verified my connections and ensured proper grounding. The behavior is random, making troubleshooting difficult. Hi all. I've made a dedicated PCB that should control auxiliary lights of my motorcycle. I use CANBUS information by MCP2515 module and using Arduino Nano digital output pins to directly control input pins of VNQ9080. I assembled all elements on the PCB and tested the product by improvised wire connections to the connector holes. All worked as expected. I connected a connector ( a lot of curving copper wires to make it possible to install the device in a small plastic box) and installed all in the plastic box. I checked all connector points for eventual shorts with Fluke 179 ohmmeter. Everything looked well and I connected the product to my test wiring as before. What a disaster! My LED lights started blinking,... I found out that output pins delivered only about 3V instead of full battery voltage. I imagined that I have ruined the VNQ by applaying wrong voltage when tested with ohmmeter - Reverse Vcc is specified as 0.3V   I prepared the second one. Assembled and connected t

Is there a way to read the motor position while it's moving, such as with a command like "run," "goto," "move," or any other command from the Powerstep01? Hello allI don't know if this is the right sub-forum, I chose the one that seemed the closest.I've been spending a bunch of time trying to find the part number of a seemingly simple IC, but just hitting walls. I've Googled using the manufacturers name and the #, and looked on the 2 companies I use that are also official suppliers Digikey and Mouser, but the 432 number is way too vague.There's IC's with this # in it,like the STM micto-controllers, but they seem too big and complicated, this just generates an error code down a wire to a microcontroller circuit.It seems to be for a LED circuit sensor/ error feedback circuit in a Martin moving light(Concerts, light shows, etc).It seems 432 is the common # between the same IC on the same board on different units on the same board I replaced in the past that the IC was actually cracked (432wp, or 432wq), it has the ST logo on it. It's rectangular 4.3mm x 3mm(.169" x .118"), with 8 pins(4 per side) on the short ends.Other than the error code

We are evaluating the L9916 IC and need to test it with different settings. We are following the information in the Datasheet and the Programming App Note. We keep the IGN, PHASE and LAMP pins at 0V right until the moment we send the ignition sequence (although we have also tried bringing it to 5V before that in order to match the oscillogram in the app note).We also ensure that the data is valid at least until the half high period of the clock and are confident that the initial sequence matches the one described in the application note. We have tried with the clock speed from the oscillogram in the app note as well as with faster and slower clock speeds. After the initial sequence is sent, the microcontroller reconfigures the pins connected to IGN (SCL) and PH (SDA) for I2C communication. Then, even though both pins have strong external pullups, the IGN (SCL) line is brought to 0V by the L9916 and held there indefinitely. This prevents I2C communication from occuring, since

Hi all, I am looking for two voltage references to produce two rails ( positive and negative) with low frequency noise.The voltage reference does not need to have a tight output voltage accuracy and long term precision. It needs to be stable over a 1minute period and this is why I am looking for low 1/f noise.The application is shown in this circuit and I need to get these two references to supply the voltage divider. So far I was supplying the divider with the same +/-5V used for the amplifiers and taken from two linear voltage  regulators ( L78L05ACUTR for the +5V L79L05ACUTR for the -5V): with this setup I get too much noise at the output of the second amplifier which can amplify up to a factor x57.  This noise is not coming from the opamp ( is a low noise opamp from a competitor OPA4205) or the input at pin3 which has been already proven to be noise-free.  Can you recommend a couple of possible IC to produce two stable references from the +/-5V already

I'm reviewing the datasheet for the LM317 linear regulator, and it lists the equation for calculating voltage as:VO = VREF (1 + R2/R1) + IADJ R2If I plug in the numbers from my circuit (and neglect the error calculation), I get:1.25 * (1+(1400/400))  = 5.625VHowever, if I do a straight resistor-divider calculation assuming R1 = 400 and R2 = 1400, and assume 5.625V at the top of R1, I get Vref = 4.375. Swapping R1 and R2 (such at R1 = 1400 and R2 = 400) I get Vref = 1.25V with Vout = 5.625Furthermore, most linear regulators with an adjust pin set the output using the equation VO = VREF (1 + R1/R2)Which tracks with what I'm seeing in the math. Is there a typo in the datasheet, or is there something significant I'm missing in how much current the ADJ pin has on it?  

I have followed the design attached in PDF. It is from ST designsuit.I have used MYRRA 75032 flyback transformer. (Datasheet Attached)Optocoupler 140105146000 with CTRmin - 50%, CTRmax - 150%.So now problem is I am not able to get continuous Vout from flyback. There is hiccups. IC shutdown after every few cycles and restarts. As shown in VCC waveform VCC capacitor is charged till ~13V. IC turns on Switches for 2mSec Vcc goes till ~20V and switching stops. Vcc voltage decays, when it goes below 7V IC turn off. When it goes below 5V Vcc capacitor starts to charge itself by internal current source. Cycle repeats.My interpretation - Since IC restarts everytime at 13V (VCCrestart voltage). I can say IC goes into latch state while switching. But i cant find the reason for latching. Need some guidance.Other findings. Output is connected only to LED load. So I cant find much raise in VCS voltage. (Voltage across Current Sence)Also VDS spikes to 510V still within limits mentioned in d

Hi everyone, I’m using the STGIB8CH60TS-E IPM in my motor drive design and trying to configure the smart shutdown (overcurrent protection) function using the CIN pin. As per the datasheet, the internal comparator reference voltage (Vref) is typically 510 mV (460 mV min, 560 mV max). I’ve used a 50 mΩ shunt resistor on the DC return path (between the negative DC bus and the IPM’s NU/NV/NW pins). Based on this: IOC=VrefRshunt=0.510.05=10.2 A (typical)I_{OC} = \frac{V_{ref}}{R_{shunt}} = \frac{0.51}{0.05} = 10.2\text{ A (typical)}IOC​=Rshunt​Vref​​=0.050.51​=10.2 A (typical) So the expected trip current should be around 10 A. For filtering, I’ve used R = 2 kΩ and C = 1 nF (RC = 2 µs) at the CIN pin to suppress switching noise. I’d like to confirm a few points: Is my calculation and setup for the IOC threshold correct for triggering the smart shutdown? Which alarm to read if our motor skips steps while moving? The motor works fine for a period of time like for 4hours and then randomly starts to skip step while moving in forward direction whereas in backward direction it moves fine. We are using 1/4 step mode.
