Antenna detection range is very less and which would be the better antenna to get maximum range?

I am able to read the tag but the rage is very less. Are there any gain settings to be changed the software. I am enabling external power amplifier still i am getting very less range. Please suggest me which type of antenna is better to use. What will be the maximum read range of the passive tag.

Are you using the included tags or a different type?
