I am using STEVAL-SMARTAG1 and ST Link V2 (https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/st-link-v2.html)

Find the connections in the image attached.

Please share details related to required connections, debugger configuration etc.

    Hi,

Initially we connected it using the flat ribbon cable. Now we connected directly with jumper cables and it got connected.

    Thanks for pointing out.

    Hi TChau.1,

have you properly followed the various steps described in §7 of UM2427, in particular step #1 "Insert a CR2032 battery in the battery holder on the back of the STEVAL-SMARTAG1 evaluation board to power the target microcontroller."?

    Hello,

We are following the UM2427 document, but the document shows the connections for debugger based on Nucelo development board and we are using the ST-Link/V2 (Find the image_1). Does this debugger supports this Board/microcontroller.

    • Yes, Step #1 is followed. CR2032 is connected.
    • With STM32 Cube Programmer, we are testing the setup and getting the following logs/error. (Refer image_2)
    • We tried with multiple combinations of Port(SWD/JTAG), Frequency, Mode and Reset Mode. Please suggest expected configuration.

    Hi,

I see no reason to have STLink/V2 not supporting this MCU. It should work in SWD configuration.

Have you connected the STEVAL-SMARTAG1 to the STLink/V2 flat ribbon or directly on the STLink/V2 PCB 20 pins connector? Can you check that the connection is not "mirrored" ?
