I2C rise and fall time for ST25DV04K for speed of 100kHz

Hi,

The ST25DV supports I2C speeds upto 1MHz, for which the datasheet has mentioned the rise and fall time using the RC time constant of <150ns according to I2C standards.

We are using it at 100kHz only but there is no mention of rise and fall time for 100kHz ( acc to I2C standard it should be <1000ns), and the following point is mentioned in datasheet as attached.

Does this mean that ST25DV supports only <150ns rise and fall time even if it used only at 100kHz?

    Hello,

The datasheet is only providing figures for 1Mhz clock as this is the more constraint one.

For 100KHz, constraint can be relaxed, and the RC time should be < 1000ns. The ST25DV does support rise and fall time > 150ns when the clock is lower than 1MHz.

    Best regards.
