Hello again,
In theory it is possible to add a capacitor in parallel to the one present in M24SR. But this value would be large for this antenna, with about 100pF extra. Usually such a capacitor will have a very large Q which has the effect of modifying the slope of the incoming signals to the tag and affect it negatively.
We optimally recommend that if possible in your design, you choose an antenna with an inductance value of around 4.7uH. That would match with the M24SR as is without matching network.
If not possible, at best, the external capacitance that can be added in parallel to the one in M24SR should be not higher than the M24SR one.
In combination it might be possible in your design to have 2 layers in antenna on top of each other, connected serially. That would double the inductance of the antenna, and reduce the external capacitance requirements.
As external capacitance quality factors vary, some experiments might be handy to find the proper set up. This is why we advise selecting the proper antenna from the get go as it makes the design easy.
