Minimum antenna inductance requirements for ST25DV04

Hello,

The eDesign Suite doesn't provide any information except of the inductance. How to check if it is enough or not?

    Hello Dimitri,

    Application note "AN2972: How to design an antenna for dynamic NFC tags" describes in details the antenna design procedure for our dynamic tags. it describes methods to validate the design by measurements.

    Before designing the antenna with help of eDesign Suite, two parameters must be known: the tag IC internal tuning capacitance reference value to be used for antenna calculation as well as the desired tuning frequency for the tag. ST25DVXX datasheet specify a typical reference tuning capacitance value of 28.5pF. The recommended tuning frequency range for ISO15693 tags is between 13.56 and 14MHz.

    the corresponding target range for antenna inductance is between 4.5uH and 4.83uH. 4.7uH is a good average target to reach with eDesign Suite.
