Hello, does Android phone can serve as the NFC reader and support Fast Transfer Mode(FTM) in this diagram? If yes, what is the speed? Is FTM unique to ST NFC tag products?

    Hello xhli,

As of today, almost all phones support NFC and they can act as NFC readers.

Concerning FTM specifically, it is perfectly possible to use it with Android (and iOS as well).
FTM is using custom RF commands, but Android provides all the necessary APIs to send and receive custom RF commands, so no problem.
The speed of FTM, with a ST25DV, is limited to 26kb/s (this is the maximum data-rate supported by smartphones in ISO15693/NFC_V).

    Best regards.
