Hi

Can someone head me in the right direction to locate a very basic project to use a  ST25 together with  one of the HID chips or similar:     Project for a tag only read direct into spreadsheet via HID.  Thanks   Charles

  • Microchip’s ATtiny85 with V-USB software implementation, or
  • FTDI’s FT260 chip, or
  • Silicon Labs’ CP2112 HID USB-to-SMBus bridge, or
  • NXP’s SC18IS602B I2C-to-USB HID bridge

    Hi,

for your specific need of having an ID for each reader, I would suggest you contact those solution providers. PC/SC NFC readers may also fit your needs.

    Hi,

If my understanding is correct (please correct me if I am wrong), you want to develop a project with an NFC reader connected to a PC through USB and be able to read some data from an NFC tag directly into a spreadsheet.

Which NFC technologies do you plan to support (NFCA and/or NFCB and/or NFCF and/or NFCV)?

Have you had a look on STEVAL_25R3916B or ST25R3911B-DISCO? or to existing products such as FEIG CPR30/30+?

    Hi Brian

Yes you are correct.  Available at the moment are usb stick for readding of rfid, but they do not have a user ID for each reader.

I would like the simplest easiest way to read to spreadsheet with alreaddy available components.  Would try an Arduino option if feasible.   But i thing there will be some chips that can be used to get it working.  All I need is read tag only, and attach ID to the data going into spreadsheet.

    Thanks
