ST25 Technical Support for Apple ECP v2.3 (or later) polling Protocol

Dear All,

My questions are

1). Does ST25R3911B also support Apple: ECP v2.3 (or later)?.

As per the latest apple support doc to enable Apple NFC integration device chipset should support Apple ECP v2.3 (or later) Protocol with ECP 2 polling protocol.

Apple Doc link :  https://register.apple.com/resources/docs/apple-pay/access/program-guide/use-cases/access-nfc-transactions/#key-nfc-features

2). Which are the Chipsets from ST, support Apple ECP v2.3 (or later) Protocol?

We wanted to integrate Apple ECP v2.3 (or later) Protocol in our NFC enabled device for Apple certifications process.

Please let us know.

Regards, Gaurav.

    Hi Gaurav,

all ST25R chips to date are supporting ECP in any version.

This holds because they are all just frontend chips working on the low layer of the NFC protocol where the host needs to define every frame to be transmitted.

This is different for NFC Controller chips where the NFC chip autonomously performs the polling loop. For such chips the polling loop inside the firmware needs to already foresee extra NFC frames to be sent during the polling loop.
