ST25DV04K I2C@400kb/s compatibility?

Hello, I could not infer from the datasheet that ST25DV04K could be used at fast mode I2C speeds (400 kb/s). The datasheet states "Two-wire I2C serial interface supports 1MHz protocol". The datasheet does not mention compatibility with other I2C speeds. I want to confirm that the IC will work for I2C@400 kb/s operations smoothly

Thanks,

Eshwar

    Dear Eshwar,

    The ST25DV04K is compatible with Standard-mode (100Kb/s), Fast-mode (400Kb/s) and Fast-mode Plus (!Mb/s).

Actually I2C clock can be any value up to 1 MHz. It doesn't really matters if you don't match exactly with Standard or Fast mode clock frequency, as long as you do not exceed the 1MHz clock of the Fast-mode Plus.

    Best regards.
