ST25DV64K-IER6S3 - GPO Operation (open drain)

Hi

I am trying to obtain the smallest possible power consumption with an ST25DV64K-IER6S3 device. I am wondering is the GPO pin is still operational when VCC is removed? Is it the GPO circuit powered by the RF interface?

Best Regards

Gilberto

    Hello,

Yes, GPO is triggered independently from VCC.

In absence of VCC, the GPO logic is powered by the RF field.

On the Open drain version of the ST25DV (St25DV64K-IE6S3), the GPO output is open drain, which means it needs to have an external pull-up resistor connected to it in order to work. This pull-up must be powered somehow by an external power source (VCC, or even energy harvesting).

    Best regards.

    Hi

I have managed to run some testing with ST25 APP from ST. It seems that GPO is triggered independently of VCC. Just need need to confirm that.
