X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 variable capacitors replacement

Hello,

I am planning on implementing a ST25R3916 circuit starting from X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 schematic, but LXRW0YV600-054 is marked EOL for 2026. Is there any recommendation for change of the implementation?

Thank you!

Best regards,

Dragos

    Hi,

see ST25R3916B AAT Variable Capacitors - STMicroelectronics Community for a similar question.

Also, do not hesitate to have a look on new products such as ST25R200 and ST25R300 mounted respectively on X-NUCLEO-NFC10A1 and X-NUCLEO-NFC12A1 expansion boards. From Firmware point of view, all the ST25R reader devices share the same RF Abstraction Layer (RFAL) API.

Which features are targeted by your application?

    Hello Brian,

Thank you for your prompt reply and sorry for double posting, I didn't know about the other topic. I will use the application note to migrate my design.

No specific feature, simple reading of NFC tags is the application purpose.

    Hi,

"No specific feature, simple reading of NFC tags is the application purpose." if Card Emulation, Active Communication Mode and NFC-F features are not needed, you may consider to use the ST25R200.
