AN6121 - Antenna selection circuit questions

Hi,
I've implemented the antenna selection circuit as per AN6121 but I'm getting some strange behaviour.
Background
- I have designed and manfactured a test pcb using the ST25R3916. On it I have 2 ST25R3916 chips, one with a single antenna connected and the other with 6 antennae and a multiplexer circuit as described in AN6121
- Each has a header where I can connect it to my MCU host board so I can use the same software on both to compare
- I have the single antenna chip working - it can detect tags correctly.
The chip connected to the multiplexer is not doing so well.
I have attached the circuit diagram which i'm pretty sure matches the diagram in AN6121, paying careful attention to which way round the FETs are. Note I've used the same fets as in the AN.
I'm assuming SW must be low to select the antenna?
What i see, which i'm not expecting, is a large voltage drop across R1 in my diagram, 12v incoming drops to 7.6 volts on the gates of Q2 and Q3.
I wondered if this was caused by current flowing through Q1 (number from my circuit diagram, sorry they don't all match), so I removed R2, and it seems that the current is flowing into the gates of Q2 and Q3, This makes no sense to me!
My understanding is that when the antenna is not selected, we should see 0v on SW+ and therefore at the gates of Q1, Q4 and Q5 and that this should have the effect of disabling the shorting out of hte antenna that happens when it is not being used, and that we should see 12V on the gates of Q2 and Q3 which has the effect of 'connecting' the antenna, is that right?
The net effect of all of this is that I see a very small voltage going into the antenna, 0.3v peak to peak - I assume this is just because the imepdance it is driving into is too low because the multplexing isn't working quite right?
