Energy harvesting

I have been paying attention to the energy collection function of ST25, and I want to make ST25 collect energy to power low-power MCU through NFC. I want to know how this picture is realized, and do you have specific models and instructions?

Hi @Schuyler ,

The original figure you refer to is about following products :

https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-smartag1.html

https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-smartag2.html

Please have a look, in this system they succeed to use Energy Harvesting

Hi

How about NFC WLC system? I can't supply power to L4 using the energy collection pin of ST25dv. How does this scheme achieve passive power supply

Hi @RhSilicon

I watched the video and learned what NFC WLC can do. As for the listener, I noticed that its L4 power supply is without power supply, and it uses battery charging to reach up to 1W energy. May I ask how to achieve this? Do you have any relevant introduction?

Hi @RhSilicon

I saw the web page you provided and only understood the functions in this mode, but the specific module of wireless power supply was not shown. The legend is about battery charging. How is it implemented?

Maybe few people have these answers, due to being recent technologies, but I found a forum that maybe can help to find more answers:

Wireless charging makes everything in our lives more convenient. First announced in 2021, the new NFC Forum Wireless Charging Specification will unlock this potential in all of our mobile accessories.

With hundreds of millions of NFC-enabled devices in the market today, NFC technology is one of the most versatile and secure technologies around. The NFC Forum and our members regularly make news with innovative products, new specifications, and life-enhancing case studies.

Hi @Berenice BENVEGUDA

Thank you for your guidance. Is the link you sent about NFC WLC wireless charging to achieve this function? At present, I have a project about st25 output energy to MCU signal acquisition through NFC, but the energy output of EH pin of ST25DV is too low to drive L4, so I would like to ask whether this product is a battery charging for wireless charging, and can I use x-nucleo-nfc07a1 to achieve this?

The smarttag products are based on ST25DV NFC Tag and are not WLC wireless charging products.

Please look at the reference documents
