ST25 NFC/RFID tags and readers

您好我们使用NFC08A1开发板做NFC识别时，功率无法达到介绍中的1.7W。开始以为是VDD_RF的电压偏低，然后控制寄存器2C的rege将VDD_RF的电压设置为5.1V，使用B区域寄存器2C和万用表读取都没达到5.1V，测量到的最高电压只有4.9V。而且运行直接命令开场后电压降为4.6V。开发板的最高电流只有100mA。排查过供电电源没有功率受限的问题。想问下如何提高功率，期待获取到贵公司的指导。 Hello.When we use the NFC08A1 development board for NFC identification, the power cannot reach the 1.7W in the introduction.At first, it was thought that the voltage of VDD_RF was low, and then the rege of the control register 2C set the voltage of VDD_RF to 5.1V, but the reading of the B-zone register 2C and multimeter did not reach 5.1V, and the highest voltage measured was only 4.9V. And the voltage drops to 4.6V after running the direct command. The maximum current of the development board is only 100mA. Checked that the power supply is not limited.I would like to ask how to improve the power and look forward to getting your guidance.

Hey !!I'm new to the world of NFC, and I'm currently developing an application to communicate with a product (connected padlock) as part of my work. I know that we use mailBox for our orders. In practice, to unlock the padlock the command: 35FF1234EEEEEEEE40FFFFFFFF0000 is used. I can read the basic info: 022B, I can also read the FTM value: 02A0020D, but I can't send my order. I tried with the AA command. But nothing works, can someone help me?Thanks in advance

Hi,I am currently programming a custom PCB with a similar design to the SMARTAG1. I believe I have correctly enabled FTM and EH_MODE. I have populated the FTM with a test message and checked by reading it back via I2C. EH_MODE has been set to 0. When I tap my phone, however, NDEF is empty but I was expecting this to have my test message.Could I please get some clarification on what I am doing incorrectly?Also, I am assuming the ST25 would output whatever energy it harvests to V_EH and then execute my program. Please correct me if I am wrong.Thanks.

Hello everyone,I'm working with the Nucleo NFC07A1 board, which mount the ST25DV64KC chip, to create a simple Tag-Reader system. At the moment, I'm testing the ST25 with my smartphone, using the ST25 Android app.A user from the ST community suggested I use the "Send Custom Command" function on the Android app to send commands via the RF antenna coils.I started with simple commands, and they worked fine. For example, I was able to read and write to the EEPROM and check the configuration of some registers, all without any issues.However, when I try to use the Mailbox read and write commands, nothing seems to work. When I try to add the STEVAL-SMARTAG2 as a device to the ST Asset Tracker app, nothing happens. It detects the NFC, yet no ID is registered. Must I activate the NFC before?Edit: I tried the steps (see below) in the manual to enable the UART by removing the "//", but I get no info/data in the Tera Term application after I press reset on the Smarttag2. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,We are planning to use ST part# ST25R3916B in one of our projects. The product is targeted for European market, and it might also be targeted to US and other global markets as well. Could you help us to know the various design aspects (Electrical and software) we need to take care from NFC certification point of view (considering the target counties) for the NFC design using ST25R3916B (NFC reader) and ST25DV04KC (Tag IC), if any please?In our application, the tag antenna will be placed on a metal surface along with the ferrite sheet. We would like to set antenna impedance to a value of around 15 ohms. Could you help us to know the preferred position of the smith chart’s inner loop and the 13.56MHz point for this application considering a reading distance of about 7 to 8cm please? Hello,i'm working on implementing a system using ST25DV64KC Dynamic Tag with an NFC Reader.Here is a summary of my current situation and issues:1. Current Setup:- I've successfully tested ST25DV Tag using the NFC07A1 board- I'm now transitioning to using the NFC08A1 board that mount the ST25R39 Reader in order to create a complete NFC Tag + Writer System 2. Issues with NFC Tag:- I'm able to read and write EEPROM and MAILBOX via i2c without issues- I've problem with ST25 android App. It indicates that I need specific firmware to write to the Mailbox. I can't use the android app to write on the Mailbox with RF signal without this firmware and using only my FW on the Microcontroller??? 3. Issues with the NFC reader:- How i can send commands to the NFC Tag through the antenna coil?- Specifically, i need to understand how to send a command composed of n Bytes through the Reader. I must send them through SPI from the micro to the ST25R39 Reader and then it translate the Bytes in RF

Hi,I'm working with the NUCLEO-NFC07A1 (that mounts ST25DV64KC chip), and I'm trying to read the dynamic registers via the I2C interface. However i've some problems reading the IT_STS_Dyn register at 0x2005 addr.This register should indicates which event triggered the GPO interrupt.I've configured the GPO1 register to trigger interrupt for various source. When an event occurs and GPO1 interrupt is activated, I expect to see some bits in the IT_STS_Dyn register set to 1, indicating the source of the interrupt. However, when I read the IT_STS_Dyn register via I2C, I always get a value of 0x00. In addition, I've noticed that I encounter the same problem (getting a value of 0x00) when reading all the dynamic RO registers. In contrast, the other dynamic registers that are not RO don't exhibit this behavior and return expected values.I'm wondering if there are any additional configuration steps required, or if I'm making an error in the reading sequence. The ST25DV and M24LR define custom commands for specific purposes.  Is there a way to override these command values so I can send a small few byte payload over NFC to the chip, read the payload, and send back a response with the same command value?The custom command range starts at A0 so I'll use that as an example. Since the ST25DV and M24LR define A0h for Read Configuration, does that mean I can't use A0 for something else?

Hi,I have been working with the st25r3916 in my reader. My idea is to use a mobile to communicate with the reader in card emulation mode. I have been using the demo code for st (ST25NFCEmbeddedLibSrc_ST25R3916(B)_1.6.0).With IOS it is working fine, and with a samsung with android 14, works the 70% of the times, but I am trying with a Redmi with Android version 13, and it works the 20% of the times.I have the discovery demo board of st25r3916, and both mobiles were working fine, but as the library used in this board was too old, I have purchased the demo board "X-nucle-nfc08A1" with the Nucleao board, to check the behaviour with your code and your library, and in this case, the IOS works 100% of the times, the samsung works 100% of the times, but the Redmi NEVER works.Is there any solution to make the Redmi working?Many thanks, Sandra

Hi,I am working with the X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 board and would like to use its mailbox functionality. So far, I have been using the example provided by ST, where the mailbox is used to write and read data using the same device.I have extended this example and successfully managed to read the mailbox content sent using the NFC Tools application. Now, I would like to take it a step further and write data to the mailbox of other NFC devices using my NFC04A1.Could someone explain to me how I can do this? We use ST25NFC_Embedded_Lib_ST25R3911B_1.6.0 for our current project.There are some example inside.In most example in stm32l4xx_hal_msp.c are the following code: GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_All & (!(GPIO_PIN_3));HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct); But & (!(GPIO_PIN_ should be & (~(GPIO_PIN_Please fix this in next release.Otherwise an assert inside HAL_GPIO_Init trigger because GPIO_PIN_All & (!(GPIO_PIN_3)) results to 0Do you ever test your code with assert_param() enabled?
