Hi Prathamesh,

While we do not have a longevity program for the ST25R3911B-AQWT, which is an ACTIVE product, we follow the demand of our focus customers, who require parts of this product and product family for several years after certification / product launch. Furthermore, we have processes in place which ensure a smooth transition to newer chip generations in case the ACTIVE status changes at a later point in the future (ACTIVE->NRND=Not Recommended for New Designs).

For product developments with a longer time horizon, we recommend using our latest ST25R3916 chip generation.

Regards, Ulysses

Hi Prathamesh,

I am not 100% sure what you mean. Do you mean

  1. Expected availability of ST25R3911B parts (i.e. for how many more years will ST produce and sell these parts)
  2. Expected time an ST25R3911B part will be able to operate within spec (i.e. how long will one part last inside a given application until it dies)?

Best Regards, Ulysses
