STM32 MCUs Boards and hardware tools

Hi, I'm using NUCLEO-H753ZI Board.  There was a mistake while conducting the experiment. After that, the red light on LED6 came on and the red light on LED6 came on again after disconnecting the cable. Looking at the User Manual, LED6 comes out as Over Current indication, is there a way to fix it?(https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um2407-stm32h7-nucleo144-boards-mb1364-stmicroelectronics.pdf)Power is supplied by Micro USB 5V. Please fix my board!! If you have any question, please ask me. Thank you.

hii every one  i implanted usb_cdc commination using  usb port , and my question is how do i transmit data or receive with high bitrates lets say with 4 5 mbits , cause when i implanted the cdc-usb  its just act like a serial port , and when i open the pc port there are standard bit rates like 115200 or 9600 etc , and i i am intersted to tarnsmite or recieve with higer bit rates how can i do that ? i be glad for help 

Hi,We have a custom board with a STM32G071R8T6TR, PA4 is configured as input but it does not work.All other inputs on the boards are working correct but PA4 is a problem.If we configure PA4 as an output it works fine, we toggle hi/lo, we have checked IDR for PA4 and the IDR does not change which is a problem, it does that when we toggle PA5 and PA6 hi/lo the IDR for PA5 and PA6 change.If PA4 is configured as input and we change input hi/lo there is no change in IDR either.We have cheked MODER is correct.What do we miss here or could this be a defect STM32 MCU ?Kind regardsMorten   

We want to turn on the LED when the microcontroller is powered on. Before the program is executed.Is it possible to achieve this with just the program, without changing the HW?Specifically, we want to program LD6(PWR) of STM32F412G-DISCO.

Greetings, We are planning on using STM32H503KB MCU at 250MHz for our application. We have tested our code on NUCLEO board MB1814B which had an internal debugger IC STLINK-V3EC. For development what is the debugger tool that we should procure for easy flashing and debugging. Since the VFQFPN68 package doesn't provide the VDDLDO, should the chip work just with VDD/VBAT/VDDA all connected to 3v3?Updates: during my unit test, I kept only the STM32H725 chip on the board and removed all the other components. Then I powered the chip with 3v3 to VDD/VBAT/VDDA, but the VCAP was around 100mv and I couldn't connect to the chip. However, once I supplied 1v2 to VCAP, I could connect to it. I wonder what could cause the problem, I though the chip should have an internal LDO to power the Core.

Greetings.I have a project I developed on ESP32 (CH340 Chip). For some reasons, the project got messy, and I would like to migrate to a new board. I have an STM32 Nucleo which gave me a lot of satisfaction, but for this project I need something-Small -Wifi Capable-With at least a dozen ports (PWM, NFC, Analog etc)-That supports protocols for talking with Siri/Alexa/GNest (I bet this is on libraries) -Can run an Http server -Economic wouldn't be bad.I was thinking something like the BluePill, but there isn't any version with buitl-in wifi. My environment for development shall be Keil Studio. An you suggest something?Thank you a lot for the attentionMarco

Programming the stm32f103c6 and stm32h753zi chips, without NuCLeo or Discovery, only chip, connections, pins, ports etc.. where can I find information, thanks!!

I'm building a simple application that collects environmental data from sensors (pressure, temperature and humidity) using the B-U585I-IOT02A development board. Since I want to deploy the node directly on the field, I'm planning to power the board using several AA batteries through the VIN pin.In order to estimate the battery life, I tried to measure the power consumption of the chip only using JP3, and of the entire board with a source meter in VIN.Regarding the consumption of the chip alone, I get an average of 2 mA, a value that seems consistent with what is stated in the manual. While for the whole board, I get about 170 mA on average with a 5 V supply. Also, I notice that the ST-LINK debugger remains unnecessarily powered.Why is the total consumption of the board so high? What can I do to reduce the consumption and have a longer battery life? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm using a Nucleo-H723 board and I need to sample 4 ADC's with variable sampling rate, maximum 1Mbps.I configure the TMR2 with the time stamp (10ms, 1ms, 10ms, etc...), and TMR3 with the sampling rate that is the input for the ADC trigger.Values of TMR2 and TMR3 are updated via DMA when TMR2 have an Event (I tested this isolated and is working fine).Values from ADC are transfer to the buffer via DMA.I'm having some problems...The 4 first values of the buffer are always feeded by 0.And the buffer is only being feeded up to 30463 position when I have a full dma transfer call back (HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback). I even let the DMZ in Circular mode, and not disabling the timers, but is all the same data position being populated.I tested isolated the TMR2 - TMR3 DMA, and they are working fine the change on the Period value.Someone has any idea of what's happening?The code is doing nothing else, I'm just trying to implement this transfer Ok before go a head.I used on USB Device example to w

 I downloaded the boot code generated by following the settings in Figure 3 (the frequency configuration to 600Mhz) into the flash of the 0x08000000 starting address, and then the stlink cannot detect after re-powering (as shown in Figure 1). Hi all,I have the following problem: the backup domain registers are sometimes cleared on power off/on, despite having a 3V coin cell CR1632 connected to the pin VBAT and the GND plane. The RTC registers are then cleared. The error occurs sporadic. Typically between 1 to 20 times of disconnecting/connecting the VDD supply.Due to the missing power, I cannot debug while the bug appears.The code was not generated using Cube or HAL libraries.The uC used is an STM32F207IGT6 mounted on a proprietary PCB. I already checked/tried the following:Setting the BDRST bit in the RCC_BDCR register would cause a software reset of the Backup Domain. This bit is never set to 1 by the software (as far as I can tell)There is a 100nF ceramic capacitor across the battery, stabilizing the voltage. The voltage seems stable, no drop or spike during turn off/turn on of VDD (measured across this 100nF capacitor).Everything else works fine on the microcontroller; the RTC registers seem to be fine, I can read back

Hello everyone, I would like to know if the Nucleo-H7A3ZI-Q supports the MDIO to external Ethernet PHY control via SMI (MDC and MDIO). I have the setup connected, and I have programmed it accordingly but the MDC and MDIO Lines are always LOW, not even a hint of toggling or any thing on the PINS when viewed on a logic analyser.This brings me to my question. Does the Nucleo-H7A3ZI-Q support control on an external PHY. Best regards

I am trying to use STM32H7R7L8H6H working on design. So in our design we uses multiple interfaces like TFT LCD, Ethernet(RMII), RS485, Wi-Fi-BLE module. So For MCU power supply mode selection between LDO and SMPS. Which one mode ST will recommended to us.?Can you please help to understand?

I would like to use TIM2 as a performance counter to evaluate my software changes. Is the TIM2 internal clock 1/4 of the CPU clock on the NUCLEO-G0B1RE board? Net effect, resulting in the TIM2 counter having a resolution of four CPU clock cycles.Thank you.

Hello. I don't know exactly what the IDE needs, but it doesn't seem to see the St link server, but at the same time says that it is installed. When you press the Debug or Run button, a window appears with the inscription "ST-Link Server is required to launch the debug session. Please download in on www.st.com".I tried versions 1.5, 1.4 and as far as I remember 1.1. I wanted to try other versions, but the download was constantly interrupted. Is it just me or everyone? It looks like the site needs mirrors.Separately downloaded St-link-server 2.0.2. Greetings,I'm developing an RTOS app the should use QUIC protocol for communication.There is ngtcp2 project and wolfSSL is available in STM32CubeIDE Device Configuration Tool as ngtcp2 supports many SSL libraries.For this I need some network communication.So I bought ESP-01 WIFI module and connected it over HLPUART1 port.Now, I have serial communication with the WIFI using AT commands and communication is working fine (I wrote some simple classes to communicate with it) but it's not available as socket.What is the simplest way to add network support via WIFI or Ethernet or even with Cellular Network on Discovery Kit STM32L4P5 so I can use sockets?Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Schematic 1. Most documents refer to add a PU on UART TX  (target side), why is there a PU on UART RX and not TX, but there is a PU on VUART TX and not on VUART RX ? Seems inconsistent.2. For consistency or guideline, should the UART PU be on the board or debugger side ?3. I2C PU is 560 Ohm, normally I2C PUs are 4K7, why this strong PU ?4. I plan to use the V3MODS w/o translators and just 3.3V targets (STM32MP1/ F and L family MCU's) running at 3V3 I/O. any risks/concerns ?5. what does the red cross indicate in the schematic ?6. why are there PU on  I2C, SPI and GPIO pins, nRESET and nGND Detect on the MCU side before the translator ? are the V3MODS outputs configured as  OD ? Can this be omitted and configured as PU using any software ?7. Why is there a PU on CAN RX and not TX ?8. This application is just for internal development, not final product integration.  Are 47R series resistor needs w/o using voltage translator, That is directly connect to the target.

Hi everyone,I'm working on a project with the STM32 Nucleo L432KC, where I need the microcontroller to enter shutdown mode to save power. The board is connected to an external RTC that triggers an interrupt every 30 seconds to wake the microcontroller. Upon waking, I want it to measure the temperature once using a BME280 sensor.I've successfully implemented the RTC interrupt, and it works fine. However, when I attempt to put the microcontroller into shutdown mode, nothing happens—it's not waking up as expected.I'm programming everything using the Arduino IDE and would really appreciate some guidance on how to correctly implement shutdown mode.
