Hi everyone,I'm facing a really frustrating issue where my STM32CubeIDE can no longer detect my ST-LINK, and I've narrowed the problem down specifically to stlinkserver.exe failing to launch. This problem appeared completely randomly on my PC.Here are the symptoms and what I have already ruled out:The Problem: When I try to manually execute stlinkserver.exe via PowerShell to see what's wrong, it exits instantly without printing any output, errors, or logs. Hello everyone i am currently working on a project with a NUCLEO-C092RC Board. With this Board i want to send OBD-II Frames to my car and receive reponses with data. I also use a LCD Display via SPI. But now i have a problem. i connected CANH/L with the Board. I also connected 12V and GND from the OBD-II-Port to a buck converter, which steps the voltage down to 7 V for VIN on the Board, which should be within spec. Then i tried to send a frame, but i did not get a response, when the Board was only powered by 12V via buck converter. After that i think i broke my MCU, because then i connected my PC with the Board and switched the power source back from VIN to ST-Link with a jumper. I was able to debug my programm. but when i also disconnected CANL and CANH from the Board or switching the jumper from VIN to ST-Link (i am nor sure anymore), the red LED from STMPS2141STR came on. It only turns off, if i disconnect VDD from 3V3 Volt with pulling JP5. I also measured from what i think is

Is there a guide that shows how to set up a CDC USB device on the STM32N6 without using ThreadX in baremetal mode? I've tried following both, but it seems to hardfault on both examples crash at __lib_init_array(). Hie, according to the documentation of the board, USART1 can be used with db9 port by setting up JP7 and JP8 to 1 and 2 ( which I did). The second thing is to connect usart_tx and usart_rx to PB14 and PB15.The problem is that nothing is showing up on the pc with DB3 port. I've check the tx port with an oscilloscope and I'm getting signal on data sending but only 1.1 V (in AC). I don't know if it's part of the issue but I hope someone has the solutionThanks

Hi,I am trying to link up a Nucleo-F411RE board to a STLINK-V3PWR unit via the SWD (CN6) header.I am going to make a breakout board for the connector. See image below, I am assuming that I do not have to connect T_VCP_RX and T_VCP_TX to anything on the Nucleo board, am I right?

I am measuring the current consumption using jumper JP6 (IDD measurement point). The jumper is removed and a multimeter is connected in series.  Dear STM32 MC Support Team, I recently purchased the B-L475E-IOT01A IoT development board for my project. I am currently trying to interface it with a BME668 environmental sensor and an AS7265x Spectral Triad sensor. However, I am facing an issue while attempting to view the output through a serial monitor. Despite trying multiple serial monitoring tools, both online and offline, I am unable to receive any data output from the board. I would greatly appreciate your guidance in resolving this issue. Hi all, I am trying to implement simple USB-FS communication on a BlueCoin board (STEVAL-BCNCS01V1). I am following the official STM tutorial on USB CDC and referencing the official SW package for BlueCoin. So, for USB I need PLL source from HSE clock: BlueCoin schematic shows that there is a crystal oscillator @16Mhz (NDK NX2520SA) installed directly on the board, so I configured RCC HSE as Crystal/Ceramic Resonator; the problem is that the function HAL_RCC_OscConfig(&RCC_OscInitStruct) in SystemClock_Config retrieves HAL_TIMEOUT as a result. Timeout value is default at 100ms. Clock configuration in STM32CubeMX is as suggested in the official USB tutorial: My current debug configuration has BlueCoin connected via SWD to a NUCLEO-G0B1RE, as suggested in UM2240 (see page 14). Could you please help me? Am I missing something? Thanks to anybody who can help!

Hi all,I designed a custom STM32 board that powers up, but the firmware starts only after I manually press the reset button. Once reset is pressed, everything works normally.The clock source is an external crystal, and BOOT pins are configured with resistors.Questions:Should I suspect reset timing, clock startup, or BOOT pin state first?Would increasing reset delay with an RC network help?On the PCB, how close should crystal traces and load capacitors be placed to the MCU pins?

However, I have been unable to locate a public datasheet for this exact component.I was able to find datasheets for similar parts such as MX66U1G45G and MX66UM1G45G, but not for the “UW” variant used on the board.   Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with my STM32F4DISCOVERY board (MB997). It was working fine before, but now I can't program it anymore. Board info:   Board: STM32F4DISCOVERY Device: STM32F407VGT6 ST-LINK FW: V2J46M33 ST-LINK SN: 0671FF37324D423143244649   Symptoms:   STM32CubeProgrammer connects OK (Device ID 0x413 confirmed) Flash erase fails: Error: failed to erase memory sectors [0-2] RDP Option Byte shows 0xFF (corrupted) BOR_LEV = 3 (BOR OFF) Writing RDP from 0xFF to 0xAA fails, always comes back as 0xFF VDD measured at 2.89V   What I've tried:   Under Reset mode ST-LINK Utility STM32cubeProgrammer Different USB cable ST-LINK firmware update Nothing works. RDP is stuck at 0xFF. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

It looks like I have the 32F469IDISCOVERY board that looks to be powered ok via USB connector CN13, however the board doesn't appear to have demo software preloaded. COM LED LD6 flashes red. I note on the ST website that there is the 32F469IDISCOVERY compiled demo binary, which I have downloaded. The Readme says: The QSPI external flash loader is not integrated with supported toolchains, it ís only supported withSTM32 ST-Link Utility V3.7 or later. But the ST website says that the ST-Link Utility is NRND and to use STM32CubeProg instead. I've tried the latest version of STM32CubeProg and it can't connect to the board via USB: Error: Establishing connection with device failed. What is the best way of programming the board with this file please? Kind regards, Al

Hello All,I have a certain STM32H7 that I can't erase sector 0 using STM32CubeProgrammer.I think it is because PROT_AREA_START1 and PROT_AREA_END1 are not correct. I am trying to get back to default values of PROT_AREA_START1 =0xFF (0x0800ff00)PROT_AREA_END1 = 0x00 (0x080000ff) to disable the protection.However I cant Actually change the option bytes through the programmer. I get:an error: "Expected Value for option byteP: "PROT_AREA_START!: 0xFF, fount 0x00"RDP is level 0 (AA)I am using ST-link. Thanks for any help,Trevor

Hello STM32 Community,I am facing a persistent "Target no device found" error when trying to program an STM32L073CZT3 custom board using a Nucleo-L073RZ as an external ST-LINK (CN2 jumpers removed).Hardware Setup:MCU: STM32L073CZT3 (custom PCB)Debugger: ST-LINK V2-1 (Nucleo-64)Connection: 5-wire SWD (SWDIO, SWCLK, GND, NRST, VDD_Sensing)Power: External SMPS providing 3.3V (Common Ground established between SMPS and ST-LINK).The Issue: While the ST-LINK pins show correct voltages when floating, the SWDIO (PA13) pin drops to 0V the moment it is connected to the target board.Pin 1 (VDD Sense): 3.3VPin 2 (SWCLK): 3.29VPin 4 (SWDIO):  (Measured 2.9V on ST-LINK side connection)Pin 5 (NRST): 3.3VTroubleshooting performed:Verified continuity; no physical shorts found between PA13 and GND.Attempted "Connect Under Reset" and "Hardware Reset" at 480 kHz.Schematic Check: I have a 10uF capacitor (C17) on the NRST line—could this be preventing the debugger from catching the reset state?Verified

Hello everyone.I have recently made my own STM32 board based on the STM32F405. After soldering all the components and testing all pads and connections, finding them to be wired correctly and checking that the 3.3V is being supplied to all the correct pins, I tried to upload some code, but to my shock, the STM32F405 isn't establishing a connection via the ST-Link V2 nor the USB cable. After trying multiple fixes, I suspect the issue might be the STM32F405 chip that I got off AliExpress itself. Before taking any further steps to replace it, I decided to post a question here for review in case the problem was in my PCB design. And sure enough, I had misplaced the chip pin due to the faulty pinout diagram I used as reference.I have since fixed the chip's orientation and rechecked all pad and pin connections, as well as the 3.3V supply, and found everything to be correct; yet I still cannot get the STM32 CubeProgrammer or IDE to connect with my board using the ST-Link V2 or a

On this STM32 board, inside the USB pen drive, I can program the dedicated software for serial communication.If it exists, can you tell me the model and serial number? Hello i'm new to STM32, i'm doing school project on in. Basically the plan is to read oil temperature from CAN bus in car, and display the temperature on analog clock using servo. I have the H755ZI-Q board for this. I know it's bit overkill for what i'm doing but i'm fine with it.I've did a test code for inter core communication test. Since i want to receive the CAN info on M4. Calculate the PWM signal on M7 and then the M4 will update the PWM signal. Now it just send some numbers and displays it via uart on pc console for checking the data. But as soon as i wanted to implement the servo i started to have some issues. Basically i enabled the TIM2 with PWM generation on M4, and then the board didn't want to communicate via the STLINK. I've got error: failed to start GDB server (No device found on target). So I've erased the flash memory by bridging the BOOT0 and VDD and erasing it in CubeProgrammer. And then i have to run different project  first, before mine for it to event progra

Hello I've been using a STM32L073RZ-Nucleo with a X-NUCLEO-IOD02A1 to test some functions and it works great. But the thing I'm wondering is if its possible to also add X-NUCLEO-PLC01A1 expansion board while using X-NUCLEO-IOD02A1 at the same time.  What steps do i have to take take in software / hardware to make this function? I'm kind of a beginner so if you can just point me in the right direction to where I can find this information it would be very appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I have 2 boards an STM32F407 disco and an STM3F746DISCO and i want to create a project that implements an external LCD screen to the board however when the project runned well with the F746 the screen didnt work with the F407 any guidelines?
