Adding external RAM to NUCLEO-N657X0-Q

Hello everyone,

I want to add external RAM to the NUCLEO-N657X0-Q. From the docs I see two options:

• FMC with PSRAM/SRAM or SDRAM
• XSPI with HyperRAM or serial PSRAM

Both options seem to require wiring from the board headers (I couldn’t find a ready plug-in).

Is there a simpler way to add the external RAM? I need something similar to the one STM32N6570-DK board provides. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The nucleo board isn't set up to have external RAM. Memory interfaces are high speed and require care when routing. Pigtailed wires will not work when sending signals at 50+ MHz. It would be better to get a board with the RAM already on it or create a custom board that meets your requirements.

yes, there is no XSPI connecter for RAM directly on NUCLEO-N657X0-Q board, but there are reference pins keep on Morpho connecter CN15, like PP1-PP15 pins, you can try to connect it to external RAM if your speed is not demand.
