Hi,

I have a couple of these:

http://www.st.com/internet/evalboard/product/250863.jsp

I am trying to get the on board ST-Link programmer to work with windows XP.

I have installed the WinXP SW driver from here:

http://www.st.com/internet/evalboard/product/219866.jsp

And I'm having no luck, my board works fine on a Windows 7 machine, and the ST-Link utilty reports my device firmware as ''V1.J12.S0 JTAG Debugger''

When I connect the device for the first time (or after deleting it's registry enum), Device Manager shows ST-LINK momentarily as an unknown device, then it vanishes, and only the USB Disk Drive ''STM32'' remains. The USB drive with the 3 web links on it works fine.

I have tried the ST Visual programmer, the ST-Link utility, and CoFlash (Cocox), all say they cannot connect to the programmer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Mick.

    Daemon Tools perhaps?

That, or a policy excluding external USB. XP is generally less prone to issues than Vista or Win7.
