Connecting Nucelo to ST-Link/V2 Isol

Hi,

I have a project using an STM 32 Nucelo board. I have been developing this using the nucelo's on baord ST Link.

However, this project will be powered by a couple hundred volts so I need isolation for that. I have the ST Link V2 Isol and essentially I want to use it to mimic the onboard ST link.

The things is that I am not sure where to start. Furthermore I have UART comms between the uC and the PC I'm assuming that the Isol can do uart comms as one of the cables it was supplied with has uart labels on it.

One of the first issues that I'm having is that the Isol is not appearing as a comms port (eg COM3) etc. So I cannot try even try to test whether the things can send uart or not.

I tired going through the manuals but its a bit convoluted.

Can anyone give me some tips?

Cheers

GG

External ST-LINK/V2 do not support VCP/UART
