Hello,

i want to make my own layout with the STM32F103CBT6 as ST-Link, and im not sure, if i can use this Chip as out of the Box ST-Link or if i have to put some firmware on it to use it this way. My Intention is, to use the ST-Link similar to the NUCLEF303RE-Board (see Attachment page 3 of 4). Thanks!

    Hello

    steffen.jahnke

    ‌,

STM32F103 is empty when you buy it. You have to flash program with ST-Link binary file and then you can use it as ST-Link programmer.

    Tilen,

did you try? In my understanding, ST-Link is started by a bootloader, and ST does not officially distribute the bootloader image.
