Hello @Pavel A.,

Indeed these boards do not have user USB connector. The description is generic and the board specific features section implies that these options can be present depending on the particular nucleo-64 board.

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

What's then the point of having dedicated webpage for particular Nucleo boards, when the text does not describe properties of that particular board?

The same thing is with all Nucleo-144 boards' pages listing the Ethernet and RJ45 connector, while only about half of them actually has those features. And take a note that the pictures of the boards are different...

If ST will revise documentation of these boards, may I ask to add information how to fit the user USB connector (micro or type C)?

Hi @Pavel A. ,

If the connector is not already on the board and there are no unpopulated pads for it - which there aren't - then the only option is to connect to the brought-out pins on the headers, which I'm not sure is the best idea for the 12MHz USB.signal.

Note, that both http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/evaluation-tools/product-evaluation-tools/mcu-eval-tools/stm32-mcu-eval-tools/stm32-mcu-discovery-kits/32f072bdiscovery.html and http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/evaluation-tools/product-evaluation-tools/mcu-eval-tools/stm32-mcu-eval-tools/stm32-mcu-discovery-kits/stm32f3discovery.html do have a user USB connector (although it's mini), and they also have most if not all pins brought out to headers, so they may be a better option when prototyping/experimenting with USB on these families, than the respective Nucleos.

Yes @Community member then the disco boards with the connector are better option.

(I thought, they update these nucleo boards from time to time and added at least a placeholder for USB connector)

Added this as an Idea for ST to ignore it there.
