How to verify ST-Link V2 original or fake?

Hello members,

I ordered the ST-Link V2 from one of the local and reputed online website. The product I received have outer box which looks like original but after seeing the product I think it is not. I just want to know how to verify that the product I received is original or not?

I can't imagine there is much of a market for knockoff programmers like that. Especially when you can get an almost equivalent knockoff programmer for $3 or less.

What happens if you plug it into your computer?

Try lsusb you should see an stm stlink2 on the device list.​
