Question

Is it possible to use the generated 1.2 V of SMPS for another IC, in STM32H7 with the direct SMPS supply configuration?

I want to design a board that has an STM32H7 with internal SMPS and an SSD2828 which needs 1.2 V too.

I'm wondering if it is possible to use the internal SMPS of the microcontroller to produce the 1.2 V for Vcore like the below picture and also use this 1.2 V for the SSD2828?

If this can not work, another state can be producing 1.8 V by SMPS and give it to the external LDO which makes 1.2 V then use this voltage for both the Vcore of the microcontroller and the SSD. What do you think about this?

Do you have any suggestions?

SMPS 1.2V can be used for other feature, but it is not recommended, because you need to take care of whether the capability of output from internal SMPS is enough or not, and whether outside feature will impact the quality of 1.2V because it is also used for the core.
