You're right. The output used to be in the console window. But, I can open the serial port in a separate terminal prog (TeraTerm, PuTTY, minicom,...) and see the output. Actually, I like that debugging agnostic behaviour.

That's the Eclipse ... :(

In a Console, click on NEW icon on its menu bar -> Command Shell console -> Conection type: Serial port.
