nucleo pd output 24V@3A

Can I safely get that power out of any of the nucleo PD boards with a usb3 pd input? Can I get any higher current or voltage? 

 

Output is 2 pin barrel connector. Target application is fully documented here.

Supply for a soldering iron ?

Why not simply use a SMPS , you need it anyway (or , in your case, the power is coming from..? )

A variety of reasons. 

 

I want to use standard "consumer" usb3 battery packs as supplies, the kind generally used for smartphones. Furthermore, I want to learn Nucleo.
