Question

Pinout STM32H743XI: function of balls B6 and F2 - which is VSS, which is NC?

Hello!

For a redesign of an already existing product we're using an STM32H743XI, which is a TFBGA240+25.

The BGA balls "B6" and "F2" are documented in two different ways in the datasheet and in CubeMX, see also attached picture.

  • Datasheet "DS12110" (version 5), page 55: ball B6 = VSS, ball F2 = NC
  • CubeMX 5.3.0 (most recent version): ball B6 = NC, ball F2 = VSS

Can you tell me which one is the correct pinout?

I think the Cube map is wrong, the STM32H745 data sheet is more informative.

Thank you for pointing to the 745ig datasheet. I take the datasheet information, and will ignore the CubeMX pinout, as I think it is just plain wrong.

Funny side note: It seems that there's a *third* version of the pinout of balls B6/F2 used in the Eval-Boards.

Some of the EVAL were designed for dual core and DSI operation, several years ago.

@STOne-32 can you check the data sheet and CubeMX databases with respect to pin naming/usage. Thanks

    Hello,

The datasheet is the reference, the error is on CubeMX side.

    It is reported internally.
