Hello,

Target is power from another source. STlink from USB of laptop

I was wondering if the power ON/OFF of STLINK and the target sequencing will damage either the devices? I had one STLINK v2 seems to be damaged while debugging and later it is not able to detect the target, but programmer detects the stlink serial number .. With another STlink I am able to detect the target.

    Hi,

There is no power on sequence required for STlink V2 because only 5V is needed for STlink. If the version of STlink you used is V2-1, there is current limiter on the circuit, it is safter when your PC can not provide enough power at once.
