Question

Programming the STM32VLDISCOVERY board

Hello All,

The project I'm working on requires an STM32100RBT, so I ordered the STM32VLDISCOVERY discovery board, which mounts it.

I can't seem to work with it, apparently because it has an ST-Link V1, which seems to be deprecated, judging by how widely it's rejected..

Every Programmer / IDE complains about it

STM32CUBE programmer: Error: ST-LINK V1 not supported

Atollic: Error: ST-LINK V1 not supported

Keil: Command not supported. Error: Flash Download failed - Target DLL has been cancelled.

I was not expecting it to be deprecated. The mounted MCU is widely used and the board itself has an active marketing status.

How do people use it? Is there anything to do about it in a straightforward way? (preferably one that does not involve soldering)

Thanks!
